New to Houston. Pregnant & going through a rough patch. Need friends and advice.

I moved here last month. I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant and just made the decision to keep my baby and not have an abortion.

I was told by my ex that I would have to do it alone and that’s ok with me. Everyone back in Oregon thought I was being so foolish for keeping the baby. Maybe I am.

I moved here to be with my cousin who is also a single mom, but she wasn’t doing well at all when I arrived. She’s struggling with addiction and depression and is in rehab as of two days ago.

Things are tough. I know no one, spending all day job searching and I came home to the power being shut off earlier after walking home from the mechanic. Car blew a head gasket.

It’s really true that when it rains, it pours. I can’t afford to eat, fix my car, turn on power and I caught myself thinking of going back to my ex and I can’t. I messed up and messaged him last night. He was going to PayPal me for food and then I got an email with pictures of aborted fetuses.

He’s an absolute jerk.

If you maybe want to grab coffee or something sometime? D&D? Game? Go on a walk? I love to sing and play the cello. Don’t currently have one, but I love music!!!
