New to Houston, anything I should know?

I haven't made the move yet, but apparently, that's the plan sometime this week. I'm from a very small, (mostly conservative) town in Texas and I don't have any experience with living in a big city. I'm pretty damn nervous about the move so I would very much appreciate some tips and advice.
