New restaurant owner opens first concept at M-K-T mixed-use in the Heights

Homestead, a primarily brunch and lunch concept, opened at the M-K-T mixed-use development in the Heights on June 4.

The restaurant at 600 N. Shepherd was opened by Jeff Svenvold, who has a farming and ranching background.

“I’ve always had a passion for food and dreams of owning a restaurant,” said Svenvold. “My father is the one who encouraged me to pursue this next venture, so we decided on the name, Homestead, to pay homage to our family’s homestead roots.”
