New LA fitness bag policy?

I’ve been having an LA fitness membership for a while now. I unfortunately go to the worst location ever (Greenway) and today was a new low. Staff told everyone that effective today bags are not allowed if not in a locker due to reports of stealing. Stealing that’s being done not at the Greenway location, but across other LA fitness locations. Mind you, this “signature” location does not provide free lockers in the locker rooms. They require you to pay and bring your own lock if you want to use them.

I haven’t even received an email or notification in the LA fitness app about this new policy change.

Have any of the other locations in town implemented this policy as well? Tried looking around so not sure if we’re the only one.
