New home buyer (from los angeles)

Hey, im new to reddit (new to posting at least) and going to be new to Houston soon.

I was looking to get a real estate agent and with so many listed when I google, I was trying to see if anyone has any recommendations.

I'm a new home buyer, so have no idea how to do anything really, just need someone knowledgeable and trustworthy to help me through the process and learn the ins and outs.

If it matters I'm single male, 37 years old, work as a nurse and looking for new construction homes (I want to be the first one to live in the home lol) in about the $150,000-250,000 range.
