New college grad looking for IT related work

Hello strangers from the internet!

I’m a new college graduate from UNC Charlotte and starting to settle in this week in Houston. I graduated with a degree in Management Information System or MIS, and I’ve been applying on LinkedIn/Indeed since back in September but haven’t had any luck….

With the pandemic still happening it’s been difficult to find any response from any company since majority are looking for 3-5 years related experience..also aware it’s all about networking and who you know, but since I’m brand new to the city I don’t know much people or companies.

Was wondering if anybody knows a company, friend, dog, or point me in the right direction that is hiring.

I’m not asking for absurd high pay, but would just like a jumpstart my career in the IT field. Hoping to get a entry level desk support, and eventually transition in possible careers like Cybersecurity/System Admin. Also open to any jobs related to MIS.
