Nesting ducks at Hermann Park

It’s that season so please keep an eye out for the duck nests if you frequent Hermann! There’s a nesting mama we feed often (duck feed/peanuts—peanuts are their fav). If you’re exiting parking lot A, she is on the right side of the *reflection pool a few trees down. Her nest is at the base of a tree and very visible.

Every now and then, she seems to accidentally have an egg roll of her feet when she exits the nest. I’ll pick it up and place it next to nest and she scoots it back in. Today we saw an egg smashed, but I hope it was an accident. It made me sad 🙁

Please keep an eye out for these guys and put their eggs back, especially if you happen to see this particular nest. Ig I’m really just asking any park goers to help me look out for her eggs lol
