Need local options for dashcams (Car swiped me and another car on the freeway and then made an exit)

Several thousand dollars of damage and we are in a rental for 3 weeks. This car literally ran into me and another car before exiting at a ridiculous speed. We obviously need a dashcam at this point. The last one we had stopped working in the Houston summer. Would appreciate suggestions of good models that work in our hot weather (the last thread on dashcam recs is a few years old). If you had good experience with a particular place that installed them, that would be very helpful too!
