Hello, I was curious if anyone could help me with these high school-level questions in sociology. They're listed in my textbook, and they want me to answer in long form. I am going to write the questions below (1-3), and I would appreciate if anyone could help me with them.

a) Describe how norms and categorizations can look like in a society based on the two structures you chose.

b) Explain how these affect people in a community.

1. From a functionalist perspective, explain how discrimination occurs in society. Your answer should also contain relevant concepts, own conclusions, and explanations of the connections that exist.

2. Explain which theoretical perspective (conflict theory or symbolic interactionism) that you think best explains the existence of segregation and marginalization in a society.

• Explain segregation and marginalization from at least one of the perspectives.
• Explain whatever theoretical perspective you think is best suited for answering the question by explaining the relationship between segregation and marginalization, as well as drawing conclusions about the usefulness of the perspective.
