Need AC advise/recommendations

My AC stopped working 2 nights ago (Thursday) and someone came out yesterday to diagnose the issue. As you all know, the heat is starting to become unbearable, so I want to get this fixed ASAP. Maybe it was the way the tech was saying things, but he made feel like I only had 1 option & that’s a new Air handler & condenser. I put a picture of his diagnostic & air handler, but here is what he found: – system is not able to hold prolonged consistent pressure to sustain cooling – leak was found in evaporator coil – recommends accessorizing current unit to increase efficiency & reduce unit repairs, ideally full system replacement is recommended

The house is two story townhome in the heights & the air handler is from 2016. The house is roughly 2100 sq. I haven’t had any major ac issues, but after reading what a refrigerant leak ca cause, I will say that the humidity (especially in primary bathroom) is high & electric bill is over $300.

I guess I only have 3 questions: – is his recommendation accurate? Specifically the full system replacement? Or is there another option? – if I do replace the full system, what is a fair price range? I’m going to shop around, so I want to be mindful if someone is overpricing as well as underpricing. If I’m going to pay, I want to make sure it’s done correctly & I know sometimes low price = low quality. – how long does it take to fix?

Any suggestions, recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Also posted in hvacadvise, but thought I would post on here as well.
