Nearby Weekend Getaway Recommendations

Just wondering what others have done in the Houston area for a weekend getaway that's not too far from Houston. Specifically families with kids. We went with our triplet 3-yr old boys to Galveston a few weeks ago and had some fun. Went to Moody Gardens Rainforest and Aquarium one day. Went to the beach another day. Any recommendations you all have? Maybe a nearby AirBNB rental where small kids can have fun?
