Near Northside/Hardy Yards – Real Estate

Thinking about buying a home in the Near Northside/Hardy Yards area that is new. I am new to Houston, what are your thoughts about this area? The homes are planned to be built soon, and are close to new breweries nearby I've noticed.

It seems like it is a good location with close proximity to everything in Houston. I only plan on living in the home for about 5 years and then probably renting it out. Good area to invest in for a first home? I work downtown so it would be very convenient. Is it a safe area?
