Nancy’s Hustle is…fine
I see it recommended here every time someone asks for their top restaurant recommendations so I tried it last night with my wife. We got the Nancy cakes which were very good, then the steak, a burger, two cocktails, the crepe cake and the cookie. All in around $200 with tip. Nothing was bad, but nothing was amazing. I guess I’m posting here to understand the hype a bit better. In particular the dessert was kinda disappointing. The steak was good but wasn’t anything crazy and for $42 for a little bit of tritip you expect something a bit better. The burger was quite good but super greasy. I dunno I mean are we missing something? We both came away thinking “that was good, but not extraordinary, and certainly not worth $200”. Maybe it’s just too hyped up? I think if someone just told me “hey this place is solid give it a try” and I had spent half what I spent I’s feel very different about the experience.
Side note: B&B Butcher’s remains the best meal we’ve had in Houston so far.
