My Quarantine Weight Loss Journey…
3/28/2021 @Day One: I don’t know if it was the COVID Quarantine that did it or if it was just pure laziness on my part, but I have gained a solid fifteen pounds since 2020 and it shows. I have clothes that don’t fit anymore and I simply don’t feel my best. I have stopped going to the gym on the regular because of one excuse after another….and here I stand today at one hundred and forty pounds, the heaviest I have been since I had my third baby.
In life you have two choices, you can either do nothing or do something. I have chosen to do something and I’m chronicling my journey through these next 30 days for two reasons. The first is to be accountable to myself because now I’ll have to write a journal entry on my progress everyday. The second is to possibly be an inspiration to some of you who are in a similar situation and are ready to make a change.
I invested into a program of which I am not disclosing until the end of the 30 days because at this point I don’t know if it will work for me. It consists of 2 shakes a day and a sensible meal plus a gallon of water….I’m not sure how I will drink an entire gallon of water everyday but I will do my best.
My official start date for the program is tomorrow but I’m already kicking off today with better eating choices which for me means NO processed foods, no sweets, no pancakes or waffles, and absolutely NO PASTELITOS CUBANOS. I have a weak spot for Pastelitos especially if they are the guayaba kind, but I digress.
Tomorrow I am heading to the gym for a 30 minute workout (10 minutes cardio and 20 minutes weight training), I’m starting the program of two shakes and one sensible meal, I’m going on a 30 minute walk/run with my kids, AND I’m going to drink an entire gallon of H20. I’ll post pics of my day on here after I wind down my day.
