My non expert opinion that no one asked for

Fire Lovie Smith and keep GM Nick Caserio. Give Nick an actual chance to go out and get a sought after hire. A concrete plan. A vision. Promise of certain support and a change in spending philosophy once we clear cap space (spend some this off-season for quality depth and replace lower end starters with middle tier bridge players. Also get a center and new guard. Build the foundation of a winning team).

Hire Seahawks OC Shane Waldron as HC.

He worked under Sean McVay for 5 seasons and has a lot of connections from that amazing coaching tree to fill up a staff with a cohesive offensive identity and a bunch of different options for defensive staff. proven ability to develop a QB. He also worked in the same building as Caserio with the Patriots for a few seasons in the 2000s.

Draft a QB 1st overall. Stroud is almost a clone of Geno Smith (in a good way) so Waldron could easily say “hey draft this guy, I know how to coach a player like this to success”. Or if they think Bryce Young and his lighting quick release, fearless stature under pressure and leadership are what they want. I trust him with either one.

Draft Jordan Addison or Quentin Johnston with the Browns first round pick.

Have fun, compete. Develop Bryce Young over the season and go into 2024 with a lot of cap space, a (hopefully) promising looking young QB, WR and HC combo (what looks to be the secret sauce for success in this era) and what appears to be a window ahead to do something in the division/conference.
