My honest thoughts about Mattress Mack

I’m pleasantly surprised to see that I’m not the only one finds Mattress Mack’s cult-like following a problem . But before getting into that, I’m going to say I have never had a particular problem with Mattress Mack himself. Sure he’s a far right, gambling man with questionable business tactics. But I looked at it as a way to say “another business man in America”. I also see that milks that cult and does everything in his power to maintain that status to get the profit that comes with it. But again, I always associated that with another name on a long corporate list. The infamous chronicle letter is where I changed my mind.

“Do you realize he does great things for the community?” – sure. But my question is why is he the only person that gets the attention for his community work. Honestly I find it disrespectful to give Mack all the credit and leave everyone else out. But again, that’s his followers problems is the way I previously looked at it.

The infamous letter that was used as a paid advertisement makes it clear that being the figure head of a cult makes is getting to his head. Now, not only does that cult like environment exist, but it’s a problem to him when someone else doesn’t follow. Somehow his “status” is more important than some election results. Somehow, he doesn’t mind insulting others. But he loses it when they respond.

And to top this all off, America needs to stop celebrating celebrities so much. That’s where these problems originate. When someone made a go fund me “to bring Kanye west back to billionaire status”, this is a sad representation of how we fight for people that don’t know we exist.
