My Honest Review:
I know some people feel down about how Day 2 went for us, but truly I think we did pretty damn good. ———————————————————————— Round 2 Pick 42: CORNERBACK KAMMARI LASSITER, GEORGIA
I know this is not Kool-Aid Mckinstry, but listen. Kammari Lassiter is in my opinion the most physical corner in this draft who is not afraid to come up and make a play, he has quick hips changes direction on a dime. Lassiter did not let up a touchdown in the 2023 season, and Kirby Smart has even referred to him as “one of the best tackler on the team.” Do not be disappointed with this pick, Lassiter will fit well with Stingley because he’s able to play all coverages, whether it’s man press, or zone. Do not underestimate Kammari Lassiter.
Round 2 Pick 59: OT BLAKE FISHER, NOTRE DAME
He will obviously end up playing right tackle as our boy Laremy Tunsil will be on the left tackle. Blake Fisher is YOUNG, deciding to declare with Joe Alt at age 21. If he would’ve stayed another year he would’ve been a projected first round tackle, so he may sit behind Tytus Howard for his first year as he learns, but this dude will be good. He’s a capable pull blocker, and can drive block like crazy to create leverage. Explosive Hips with good hips and more, give him a year and he’ll be a damn good starter.
Round 3 Pick 78: S CALEN BULLOCK, USC
This dude is simply just an overall amazing coverage safety who will be everywhere. Many have him graded as the best coverage safety in the draft, with the only downside being he’s not a great experienced tackler, which is able to be blamed on his defensive coordinator at USC who isn’t known to be good. This dude and Lassiter will work beautifully together as their strengths compliment each others weaknesses. With a 4.48 40 standing at 6-2 188 pounds, trust me. Demico knows how to work!
