My first rodeo (hopefully)

Hi! Me and my boyfriend are planning to visit Houston 24 Feb – 2 March from London, UK. My initial googling tells me this week includes the opening night of rodeo, which we would be keen as hell to go to if we can. Or another night… basically, how does it work getting tickets? Are they hard to get? When do acts get announced? When do they go on sale? etc

Also any tips for where to stay (relatively budget but also relatively easy to get around as visitors without a car) would be vvvv gratefully recieved
