My dad is visiting for the first time – how to show him different parts of town?

I've lived here for a few years now but definitely don't have the knowledge to properly give someone a tour of the different areas in Houston.

If you have a certain area or route you feel shows off an area of Houston I'd love to hear it.

For example, I'm planning to rent us bikes to go on the bayou path near Hermann Park. Then taking the rail to check out Midtown and Downtown.
