Must Do Things for Out of Town Fans Visiting?

Hey all,

I've been an Astros fan for quite a long time, but I've never had a chance to see them play a home game as I live on the east coast. I've attended a few road games, Cincy back in the NL days, and Oakland and LAA when I've traveled for work and the stars happened to have aligned.

To celebrate my birthday this year, my wife told me to take a weekend, take whoever I wanted and go to my first home game.

Right now we are targeting the weekend of July 15-17 when the A's come to town. Tickets aren't on sale yet, but we have options for either the Friday night or Saturday afternoon game when they do.

We're staying downtown near the stadium so we can walk to and from the game. Other than the game itself, what are some must-sees/must-dos over a long weekend in H-Town?
