Musical Acts Touring in Houston

This is a bit of a curiosity I’ve had for the past five years or so. It started when I realized that a handful of acts (relatively unknown to super stars) I’m a huge fan of, tour seemingly AROUND Houston every time they go out. I’ve watched most artists opt for Austin, San Antonio and Dallas as touring destinations, and completely skip Houston when we have more than enough venues to accommodate artists of all drawing capabilities. My taste ranges from Jazz, to Metal so I’m pretty diverse. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this as a trend.
