Museum of natural science gift shop question

Does anyone know if you need an admission ticket in order to enter the museum to access the gift shop? Need to swing by there to get a present but don’t want to have to pay admission just for that. Have to do the same for the Zoo.

If anyone knows about the situation for the Downtown Aquarium as well that would be awesome.
