Movie Theater Etiquette
In recent years, probably since the pandemic, movie theater etiquette in this city has gone to s**t. Last night, we were in a rated R horror film and a family with four small children under the age of 10 walk in and the kids talk through the entire movie. This is the third horror film in the last six months we have witnessed this. The parents also suck at parenting and have absolutely no consideration for anyone else around them because they made no effort to shut the kids up. I went to speak to a manager who said he would come say something and never bothered to show up. A few minutes later someone shows up about twenty after the movie started. He felt the need to stomp his way to the top of the theater. If his goal was to be an ass with every step, he succeeded. Then he began talking, at full volume, throughout the entire movie to his buddies. So now we have children talking, and legally aged adults talking throughout the entire movie. Honestly, why come to a movie when you clearly don’t give a s**t about what is actually happening on the screen? The days of people being considerate of those around them seem to be long gone. This is why I’m fine paying more for VIP at Regal or even iPic. You tend to not deal with this type of behavior. Sadly last night the time worked for us at Cinemark off 290 and this is the experience we had.
