Most time-efficient way to travel from Houston to Aberdeen?

As the title suggests, I’m trying to determine the best routes, carriers, and modes of transportation to efficiently travel from Houston to Aberdeen, Scotland. Living in Houston, I feel spoiled by regularly taking a direct United flight basically anywhere. The closet United gets is Edinburgh, and that’s with a connection.
