Most successful rookie season ever by a QB
We all know how amazing CJ has been this year – he seems to break more records every single week. That got me thinking about where he ranks all time in some important categories.
Passing yards
As of week 13 CJ currently leads the league in passing yards with 3,540. As well as average yards per game with 297.2 (Also leads the league). The most passing yards in a season by a rookie QB was 4,374 by Andrew Luck in 2012. Meaning CJ needs to throw 835 yards in the next 5 games or 167 yards per game to break the record.
Passing touchdowns
This record is currently set at 31 by Justin Herbert in 2020. CJ currently has 20 passing touchdowns (+3 rushing) therefore CJ would need to throw 2.4 TD per game in order to break Herberts record as well.
Either way – What a season and what a Quarterback!
