Most ‘Houston-esque’ Houston restaurants near NRG Stadium

I am taking a team of eight archers to one of the biggest archery competitions all year at NRG Stadium. The HLSR fair will not quite be open when our competition takes place so there will be no food vendors on site. We will need some kind of food. We are from out of town and need a suggestion for a place to meet Saturday night, Sunday morning at around a quarter to six and possibly some calories during a short break in the competition around noon on Sunday. I would prefer to give our money to a “super Houston”, non-chain, popular local restaurant. Thank you for suggestions and wish us luck!
