Most Houston-area counties will allow bars to reopen Wednesday

Wednesday, Oct. 14, is the date when bars in many counties across Texas are allowed to reopen.

Gov. Greg Abbott announced Oct. 7 that a county must have a hospitalization rate below 15% and its local officials must opt-in before bars there can reopen. Those that do reopen must limit capacity to 50% and follow other specific guidelines.
