Mold Remediation Recs?

Have mildew on ceiling of 2nd floor of 3 story townhouse. Water is obviously trapped between 2nd and 3rd floor and we need to find source and extent of damage. A/C company already ruled our problem with the pan, so now it’s either roof or plumbing leak. Any advice or experience in this?
