Mold in the vents

Just to give some context I moved into my apt august 31st,2022 my kids, my brother and myself got sick with RSV, mine escalated to pneumonia, we were sick for months, one of the drs believed we were exposed to mold for an extended period of time so I sent my kids to stay with my parents, I told my front office we needed our vents cleaned out, they said they don’t do that and to do it ourselves, we told them there’s mold they said they can’t do anything about it because we would need proof, the problem is the test cost 156 and we had to pay and they don’t reimburse. So we had an hvac guy come in and give us a quoted he opened the vent and long behold he said there’s mold. They refused to hire someone , my lease is finally up and they’re trying to charge me for damages I reported during my walk through with them, what should I do?
