Mods are censoring conversations about power bills
This post has been deleted by a mod for a trivial reason and I'm reposting it. If the mods are going to threaten me in the dms they'll recognize the next step is i publish your attempt to censor this convo. These guys are definitely not lawyers.
I'm pretty sure everyone's rates are everywhere in Houston these last few years but recently had a bumble date laugh in my face when i told her my power bill for a 1BR in midtown was $0.11/kWh most of the time and .22 from 6-10pm and it's usually $40-60. Im a teacher, live alone, and pretty frugal. I thought this was a sweet deal when i first found it.
I think it helps everyone to have transparency about power rates. Let everyone know your monthly bills, how much it varies by season, housing situation (size, rooms, people), and usage (never home, always home gaming, home sometimes but have a hot tub and a large reptile collection, etc).
Other things:
What are your never-again power companies? What deals/promotions/credits do you get?
Let's help each other get the best set ups going into the new year.
Mine is Rhythm, price per is above. I usually pay around 50 a month. Got up to 80 or so in the summer but i didn't travel as much as i planned to. Have used reliant and txu in the past and my gut says I'd go back to reliant.
