MLB App on Android keeps pausing audio

I refuse to pay the high cost for streaming the Astros thru Fubo or Direct TV. Instead I paid the cheap price to stream the radio stream thru the MLB App. Problem is, when I switch to a different app while listening to the game it will pause the audio after a minute or so. Is there something I'm missing that would keep the audio going when pulling up other apps?
