Missing fireworks on New Year’s Eve

Does anybody know what happened to the downtown fireworks? There were none! All of Post was full with people expecting some fireworks. People even parked on i45 to watch them but they never came. I need an explanation. Houston, are you broke? Are we not paying enough taxes?! Please help.
