Mike Trout career overrated?

I know Mike Trout has lower career numbers against the astros compared to his normal numbers, but every time I watch him play I never understand the full hype. It has been like this forever, but I have always thought there was at least one other player better than him in the league even during his mvp years. Is this just bias bc I dont see the normal mike trout as an astros fan or how do others feel?
