Midtown Metro Apartments

Anyone have any recent experience with the Midtown Metro apartments? They have pretty good prices for a 1BR 1BA but I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews online. I don't need the nicest apartment in the world, I just want to make sure I'm gonna live somewhere where I'm unsafe and everything is broken all the time.
