Mexican Food like Tamaulipas

Girlfriend is from Northern part of Tamaulipas. She gets homesick sometimes. We love to cook together, but wondering if anyone from that part of Tamaulipas has any favorite Mexican restaurants here in Houston or surrounding area that reminds you of food back home? Thanks!
