Metro q card question

if i use my grandma's q card on the metro (has a senior discount so all rides are free), will it let the bus operator know? I'm 24 and obviously not a senior citizen so just wondering if i can get away with swiping this card or if I'll get in trouble and kicked off the bus. Thanks!
