Metro Q Card Question

I started taking the metro to work from Katy to the Medical Center with the student discount at $2.25 per ride, which is amazing! However, I have to pay $16 per day for parking when I do bring my car to work (like on the weekends when my shuttle doesn't run). I did learn that if I use the Edenred Transit System, I can be reimbursed up to 3 times a month, but they do not take the student discount. My question is, could I just get an Edenred Q card, but transfer those funds to my student card to get the discount AND reimbursement? It might be wishful thinking, but I gotta try!
