Houston’s improv scene will be well-represented this summer as Metallicat takes the stage at the 2025 Laugh Out Longview Improv Festival, happening June 27–28, 2025, in Longview, Texas.

Metallicat. is the newest team from Houston's "Cats on the Block" comedy collective, delivering fast-paced, character-rich scenes packed with chaos and creativity. Known for their raw energy and audience interaction, the troupe earned their spot through a competitive selection process.

The festival will host acts from across the country, including:

• WeirDass – Featuring Second City alums Stephnie Weir (MADtv) and Bob Dassie (Community)
• Jonathan Mangum – From Whose Line Is It, Anyway? and Let’s Make a Deal
• Laura & Rick Hall – With Laura Hall of Whose Line and actor Rick Hall

Also performing are Hullabaloo Comedy Company (Lubbock), Live. Laugh. MURDER. (Dallas), Jane Austin Improv (Austin), and The Understudies (Tyler).
