Metal Rod Impales Windshield on 69/59 and 610 Intersection

My sister was driving to work when a metal rod suddenly flew through the air and impaled her windshield on the passenger side. Glass shattered everywhere. She has a couple cuts on her arm and hand, but fine overall. Lucky to be alive.

As you can imagine, she was in shock and could not figure out where the rod came from. She drives a 2018 Subaru Outback, and their windshields are notoriously expensive to replace (about $3000) because it’s “smart glass.” Insurance will only cover so much.

Would there be video evidence of this event occurring and where would I possibly find it?
