Meet Shatonna Nelson | CEO, Celebrity Stragegist & Executive Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shatonna Nelson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shatonna, what role has risk played in your life or career?
One of my favorite quotes written by Helen Keller says, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” That is the most accuratre depiction of how I view risk. In order to truly attain success and/or fulfillment in life we must be brave and take some risk. It takes so much courage to start a business, to be in entertainment, or to veer outside of the norm. However, very few people who stay on a perfect path break glass ceilings. As for me I want to maximize my life so for me I’m always will to take the risk for what I want and believe in on this journey of life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own a public relations firm (The Finest Hour PR Firm) and an entertainment company(Meraki Entertainment). My firm and company are unique because I put a little bit of me in all that I do. Each customer on both sides are handled as if they are the only one. We strive to be kind, display integrity, and establish solid foundations. I have had an interesting life and survived a lot. I believe that helps me be able to understand and set solid plans in motions from people from all walks of life. I’ve learned along the way to communicate, listen to others visions, and never stop being able to learn. As long as we can learn we can all create great content, and brands.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A week is just the perfect amount of time to do a little of everything. I love a good meal so I would for sure take them some where in the city at night with lights. Food wise it would be seafood and somewhere with an array of white wines. I love nature so during the trip a hike or ziplining would for sure be on the agenda. Last but not least I would take them some where traditional like bowling or skating; some where we could just laugh and bring out that inner child.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank my family. My mother, grandmother, uncle, cousins and my children for always supporting me and believing I could conquer the world. So many people do not have that foundation. I am able to be brave for my children each day and also have support from my family in all ways. I would not be who I am today if it were not for them. Last but not least I accredit everything to God. I am very strong in my faith. I know so many times it was a prayer and believing that helped get to where I am now; that will continue to take me to new levels.
