Hi Regina, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I would say that hard work and determination have been a very important factor behind my success and my brand. I set a realistic goal then I put my plan into motion and I am glad I did! I had to remind myself that ambition leads to greatness and should always start with a positive thought. We should always feel like life is limitless! We all should walk in our purpose. It may not be easy at first and they will be some challenges, but most importantly never give up. Perseverance is the key to success. Plant your seed and watch it grow.What should our readers know about your business?
Fancy Glo Cosmetics is an affiliation with F.A.N.C.Y. Your Aura, LLC and was launched in November 2020. This sounds so cliche but we all have heard the saying “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, right? Well sometimes we want a little enhancement, thats why I started Fancy Glo Cosmetics. I love this cosmetic line because it is totally cruelty-free, there is no animal testing. I’ve always been inspired by beauty which is my mission statement. “Beauty radiates from the inside out, be inspired”. I must say as an entrepreneur that there are definitely challenges, especially when you are starting something brand new. You are hoping that it takes off, you are hoping that you drive those sales and you are hoping that people love your product! There are several lessons that you learn throughout your journey, but the main one is marketing: you have to have a great marketing strategy, you have to know your product and you definitely have to know your audience/customers. Lack of Marketing will not get you very far and you will be at a standstill.Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many interesting places in Houston and so many places to eat that I don’t know where to start. If my friends were to come down for a week long trip, we would probably go Go-Kart Racing because I literally have a need for speed. LOL We would go to eat at Helen’s Kitchen, Grand Lux Cafe and Island Spice Bar and Grill, maybe visit Prospect Park or Crazy Frog just to name a few. We would definitely have to go out to Discovery Green and go roller skating. Shopping is a must! Visit the Galleria Mall and sing at the karaoke bar. All while being social distancing, safely.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shoutout to my husband Robert and my three sons Shonn, Damian and Tyler. They have been very supportive and helpful throughout my business journey. My little worker bees, LOL. I would like to give a shoutout to my brothers Caboose and James of Incisive Entertainment, they have always been there to give the best advice. A huge shoutout to SBDC for those business entrepreneur workshops! Also to family and close friends that have been very supportive, you rock! Peace, blessings and love to you all.
