Meet Quinline Olukoya | Fashion Designer /Interior Designer, BeautyPreneur, and TechPrepreneur
We had the good fortune of connecting with Quinline Olukoya and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Quinline, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued an Artistic Career because I was born to be a Creator/Inventor of Artistic things. I am a Professional Makeup Artist, Fashion Designer, Fabrics Designer, and Interior Designer. I am also into High-Technology Inventions. I am a Natural Born Creator. It is the way my mind works. Aside from my Career in the Beauty and Fashion Industry, I’m always envisioning something new in design or technology. Aside from my beauty profession, I’ve worked as a Security Operations Specialist for many years. I really enjoy working in the area of Cyber Security and Information Technology. I am really exploring all of my God-given skills, talents, and knowledge. Life has no meaning if you can’t do what you love and make a significant impact on the world. My Personal Motto is “Do what you love, Love what you do.” Life is too short to not live it up to your full potential.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well, I have two Professional Careers, a Career as a Beauty/Fashion/Interior Design Entrepreneur then I work as Security Operation Specialist; working in a Global Security Operations Center for a High-Tech/Electronics Global Corporation. What sets me apart from others is I am Multi-Skilled/Multi-Talented. I do consider myself to be a Serial Entrepreneur. I believe that exploring your skills and talents also you to see what you love doing the most. What makes it exciting for me is doing the things that I love to do. I do love what I do and wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. It makes it all worth it. I am furthering my education in Cyber Security and Information Technology.
I got to where I am today by working consistently and educating myself in these career spaces. Being disciplined, dedicated, and determined are just a few key factors to being successful in any career endeavor. Was it easy? No, It was not easy. It took a lot of time, patience, and most of all hard work.
I was able to overcome challenges through prayer and the support of my husband. My husband Olubunmi Olukoya is my Team-Mate and my greatest supporter. He embraced me and encouraged me to follow through on all of my goals and endeavors.
The lessons that I’ve learned along the way are nothing great comes easy. Like building a home you lay one brick at a time. Like building a dream you take one day at a time. If the opportunities doesn’t come, you create them or you search for them. I’ve learned to stop making excuses for not fulfilling my dreams. Just pave it forward no matter the challenges that come my way.
I would like the world to know that Prayer, Patience, and Potential are the Master Key.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, now that my family has relocated to the Dallas-Fort Worth area there are many exciting attractions here in Dallas. We would first take a visit to the Yoruba Cultural Center. Dallas, Inc. “Yoruba Arts And Heritage Museum.” or visit the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. We would then go to Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens and take a stroll around the garden. Next, we would drive past Southfork Ranch this is the ranch of the TV Series Dallas.
Afterward, we would go eat some Good Hot Spicy Texas Barbeque at Smokey John’s Bar-B-Que & Home Cooking. Then, last but not least; we go catch a go movie at Cinepolis Luxury Cinema. This would conclude our itinerary for the day.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a Shoutout to my Darling Husband Mr. Olubunmi Adeyemi Olukoya for all of his love, efforts, and support for my endeavors. Also, my Beautiful Mother-In-Law Mrs. Roseline Adeyinka (Dina} Olukoya who was a Virtuous Woman and Amazing Mother. She passed away last year on March 8, 2022. She always guided my husband and I with wisdom and knowledge.
The Organization I would like to give a Shoutout to is Who’s Who In Nigerian Diaspora for featuring me in their Professional Publication Directory “Who’s Who Diaspora: The Nigerian Story Publication.” As I am an African-American with strong Nigerian Roots from Nigeria.
I would love to also give a love Shoutout to you all VoyageHouston Magazine for their support also. Featuring My Career Journey and Story as a Rising Black Female Entrepreneur in Beauty/Fashion/and Technology.
These are the people and organizations that I would love to give a Shoutout to for all of the support they have shown to me in my journey. Thanks very much for all your support!
