We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Rodarte and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lisa, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Our thought process was to be able to do something we love and being able to help people create memories that will last them a lifetime.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think what sets us apart from others is that my husband and I are each others backbones. We want to make sure that everyone has something to take that creates the most perfect memory for them and that can have pictures that will last them a lifetime. Both my husband and I overcame some challenges w covid as my husband lost his job. Our business has done so good that this time around my husband decided to quit his current job to do this full time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When its season we love to go hangout and have a few drinks at Hanns Crawfish! If we could eat it everyday we would! Haha

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband wants to give a shoutout to his Dad who has done carpentry for over 20+ years and taught him the basics. I would love to give a shoutout to my sister Samantha who gave us the idea to start our small business. She came to my husband asking him to create a backdrop for her business and encouraged us both to go ahead and start R Custom Backdrops. We have been booked and busy thanks to our clients.
