We had the good fortune of connecting with Judith Caballero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Judith, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
I have two favorite quotes! One in English & one in Spanish, starting with English my favorite quote & affirmation is, “If you always do what you’ve always done, you will always be where you have always been” I repeat this to myself everyday as a constant reminder that I need to try every approach I can possible until I reach my desired outcome. If I never change, my situation won’t either! Second in Spanish is, “lo que se siembra se cosecha” and this to me means that I will harvest what I sow. It’s all about planting your seed and remembering it takes time for it to grow.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is my constant education due to the genuine love I have for my career. I am always studying even at 2 am and asking myself, what I can do better? how can I make myself more knowledgeable? What new beneficial information can my client take home from their visit with me? I love the relationships I build with those who walk into my treatment room, you are someone to me. Getting to where I am currently has been everything but easy and that has taught me many valuable lessons. I’ve learned that this career is something I love and I am willing to work hard for, I’ve also learned that in this career it is very easy to give up or to be hard on yourself. You kind of have to step back, regroup & say out loud your accomplishments so far. Cry it out if you have to, but keep it pushing! I want the world to know that we are human, and we do the best we can. There is no handbook on how to be perfect, and all you can do is love yourself through your journey whatever that may be, enjoy the process & don’t be too hard on yourself. You’ll look back and think, “that old version of me deserved more love” & also, don’t let your acne define you. Don’t let it stop you from living your life, you’ haven’t stopped being any less beautiful.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Okay this is tricky because Houston is getting super trendy and has so many spots to choose from! I also like being spontaneous so we’d probably go to downtown and go to the art museum & the Japanese Garden & anything else that’s close, depending on the season crawfish is a must to eat, but we can also go check out any new restaurant nearby! Downtown has all the new cool stuff. I haven’t checked out. I’d also make sure to take her to POST houston and have some delicious Mango Margaritas & maybe watch a movie at rooftop cinema. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely don’t think I could of done this without any support so I have to give a special shoutout to My Family & my boyfriend Manuel. I want to say thank you to my family for being my safety net & giving me the resources to be able to be risky in my career. They’ve also shown me how proud they are of me and that in itself fuels me to keep going so I can keep making them proud. Of course, my boyfriend who has been with me from the very start even before my career started. Thank you for listening to me cry and vent every single time and still not letting me give up. He kept pushing me & uplifting me and reminding me of all the growth I had already acquired. Lastly, There is also one friend I can’t forget, Morgan. She introduced me to the world of esthetics, she has been an inspiration to me & a support in reminding me that everything is a part of the process. Things haven’t always been smooth sailing, but with them the waves aren’t as harsh.
