Meet Houston’s Artistic Mastermind
Let me start off by a simple WOW! Although we did not meet in person, the video chat with Howard Sherman was equally impressive. I was really blown away by his creative mind which is why I went with the title Artistic Mastermind. Howard is a contemporary artist based in Houston, Texas whose work have been featured in many notable places. I personally love the way Howard combines these aggressive painting strokes with clashing colors and various elements in a way that fits together perfectly. What you take out of his work is really a factor of your interpretation as we are each living in our own version of reality.
My most favorite Howard Sherman painting is by far the In This Room We Can’t Touch the Floor. Looking at this work of art, I ask myself where is the room and is the reason we can’t touch the floor because there is no floor to touch? Hmmm…I’ll let you be the judge.
