Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Fweshie Oloye is a Afrobeat Artist based in Houston, Texas U.S.A. My music consists of a unique blend of Afrobeat, Reggae & a slight touch of hip hop. Like any journey it has been an easy one, been professionally creating music since 2015 & staying consistent in my craft has helped me grow and develop into the artist I am today. As an independent artist, there is the obvious struggle to promote the art, but by constantly putting out music it has helped to grow a fan base/listening which reduces a little bit of the pressure. I love what I do (music) & you’ll feel a certain vibe(ration) when you hear my music because it comes from a genuine place & all you have to do is tap into it and enjoymenting

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well my favorite place to hangout will be the studio obviously because that’s where I’m most fun and comfortable. Houston has a lot of attractions, especially in the midtown:downtown are. But for the most part I hangout more in the southwest area (westhiemer) because that’s were most of the Afrobeat clubs ( O2 Lounge, Prospekt Park, Azura Lounge) are located. Also the African restaurants ( Taste of Nigeria, Aria suya, Ámala zone )

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
As a creative, it means a lot to get positive feedbacks on our Art & to know it’s making some form of impact and touching lives in different ways. So Special shout-out to everyone who’s been rocking with my music from the jump up until now. Love you guys
