Medical shadowing, internship, or volunteer opportunities

Hey everyone! I am currently attending University of Houston and i am a sophomore. I am double majoring in Psychology and Biology. I am looking for shadowing or volunteer opportunities to gain valuable experience in the medical field. I am a first generation college student who immigrated to US a few years ago so unfortunately, I don’t have that many connections in the medical field. I am looking for any way i can build my medical school application and any advice would be helpful. Do you guy know any hospitals/clinics who are taking volunteers or are offering shadowing opportunities? Is there any way to get a medicine related job without a license (something like a scribe). If so, how do i do that? I really need help and i need to find something asap. Thank you in advance!
