Mechanic in the South of Houston

My car is acting up and need to fix it up before I gotta do the inspection. The engine light is on and when I go to auto zone it either registers as another vehicle or they can’t even check what’s wrong. I have a 2012 Volkswagen. I’m in the South of Houston, right below the loop. Any mechanic close would be awesome as I don’t know any shops that are reliable or affordable. Any help would be appreciated. 🙂
