Mayor Turner names Troy Finner Houston’s new chief of police

HOUSTON — Troy Finner has been named the next chief of police for the Houston Police Department.
The executive assistant chief is a 31-year veteran of the department.
Former Chief Art Acevedo earlier this week confirmed he was leaving to head up Miami’s police force.
