Mayor Turner, Judge Hidalgo won’t hold annual addresses with Greater Houston Partnership

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo won’t hold their State of the City and State of the County addresses with the Greater Houston Partnership this year.

Turner and Hidalgo announced May 5 they would cancel their annual addresses with the GHP because the organization has not taken a position on controversial voting bills — House Bill 6 and Senate Bill 7 — being debated in the Texas Legislature.
